Your part: what a template can't do for you
- Live Q&A: learners must be able to ask a qualified trainer questions while they train. Run the live deck, or give a phone or chat line that's answered during the course. Email answered later doesn't count.
- Language: deliver it in a language and vocabulary your people understand.
- Your workplace details: fill in the 13 highlighted fields so the course describes your own policies, contacts and locations.
- Records: record completion in your own LMS or record system. Template note: records kept 3 years.

FAQ
Common questions
Can I run bloodborne pathogens (general industry) training online?
The course itself is self-paced and online, and the live deck lets you add a live session. Whether online delivery meets your local rules depends on the law that applies to you, so check 29 CFR 1910.1030(g)(2) or ask your own counsel. The law flagged for this template expects learners to be able to ask a qualified trainer questions while they train: run the live deck, or give a phone or chat line that is answered during the course. Email answered later doesn't count.
How often is this training needed?
At initial assignment + annually; records kept 3 years.
Who needs this training?
All employees with reasonably anticipated exposure to blood/OPIM (janitorial, first-aiders, tattoo, schools, hospitality).
What records should I keep?
Record completion in your own LMS or record system, so you can show who finished the course and when. From the template notes: records kept 3 years.
Can I edit the content?
Yes, everything. Change the wording, swap scenarios for ones from your workplace, add your logo, or remove parts that don't apply. Keep anything your own law requires you to cover.
