FAQ
Common questions
Can I run California harassment prevention - Employees (1 hr) training online?
The course itself is self-paced and online, and the live deck lets you add a live session. Whether online delivery meets your local rules depends on the law that applies to you, so check Gov. Code 12950.1 or ask your own counsel. The law flagged for this template expects learners to be able to ask a qualified trainer questions while they train: run the live deck, or give a phone or chat line that is answered during the course. Email answered later doesn't count.
How often is this training needed?
Within 6 months of hire, then every 2 years; seasonal/temporary/<6-month workers within 30 calendar days or 100 hours worked, whichever first.
Who needs this training?
Non-supervisory employees of CA employers with 5+ employees (incl. temporary/seasonal).
What records should I keep?
Record completion in your own LMS or record system, so you can show who finished the course and when. Check the retention period that applies to you in Gov. Code 12950.1.
Can I edit the content?
Yes, everything. Change the wording, swap scenarios for ones from your workplace, add your logo, or remove parts that don't apply. Keep anything your own law requires you to cover.
