Try some questions from the course

Question 1 of 3

Is "a certain look" a lawful reason for this assignment?

Title VII protects against discrimination because of color as well as race. Assigning people to roles by skin shade can be unlawful even when everyone involved is the same race, and customer preference is not a defense.

Lesson 1, Why this matters, teaches this. See the outline

Question 2 of 3

Which statement about who is protected is correct?

Title VII and Section 1981 protect everyone (McDonald v. Santa Fe Trail Transp. Co., 1976). The Supreme Court confirmed in Ames (2025) that majority-group plaintiffs do not face a higher bar under Title VII.

Lesson 2, What the law covers, teaches this. See the outline

Question 3 of 3

Which is a red flag in a performance review?

Different words for the same behaviour is a classic sign of stereotyped evaluation. Use the same words for the same behaviour.

Lesson 3, Spot it in decisions, teaches this. See the outline
