Corporate event game ideas

A big crowd of strangers is hard to warm up. These four games give people a reason to move, answer and talk to each other.

1. Quiz dal vivo

If your general session needs an energy boost, live trivia is a fantastic option. In 10 to 20 minutes it can liven up your content, break the ice and double as a game show for corporate events.

Come funziona

  1. Create a trivia game on company history, products and related topics.
  2. Attendees join on their phones by scanning an event QR code. The host shows each question on the big screen and it appears on every phone at the same time.
  3. When the round ends, attendees see straight away whether they were right, and the big screen shows the correct answer and how everyone responded.
  4. The top players and teams climb a live leaderboard, so you finish with an overall winner.

2. Minuto per vincere

Set up a series of outrageous but simple challenges that colleagues must finish in 60 seconds: stacking cups into a pyramid, bouncing ping pong balls into cups, or sorting a pile of papers into alphabetical order. The format comes from the TV show of the same name, which used a series of 60-second challenges built from everyday household objects (NBC: Minute to Win It). Time each attempt, keep score on a shared screen and see who comes out on top.

3. 4-Domande Mingle

Time to get moving and make new connections. Each person gets a card with four interesting questions, then mingles one to one with every other player. Spend just a few minutes with each person, swap answers and learn fun facts, work style preferences and perhaps a hidden talent. People are often surprised how much they learn about colleagues they see every day.

4. Frase ad effetto

Catch Phrase is a quick team word game that tests communication. One player gives clues to help teammates guess a word or phrase without saying any part of it, and play passes to the other team when a guess lands (Hasbro: Ultimate Catch Phrase rules). For ‘needle in a haystack’, you might say, ‘It is a pointy metal stick lost among heaps of dried grass.’ It works well for small groups and gets noisy in a good way.

Remote teams can have fun together too. These virtual event ideas bring everyone together with very little setup.

5. Isola deserta

You are going to a desert island and can bring one thing. Everyone shares the item they would pack, and anyone who names an item that matches your secret rule scores a point. A brainstorming slide lets people submit ideas and see the results in real time.

6. Indovina chi

Before the meeting, everyone takes a photo of their home office, the spot that best shows their personality. During the call the host shares one photo at a time and the group guesses whose workspace it is. It is a good way to find the hidden interior designers on your team.

7. The Price Is Right

Run a virtual version of the classic game show, where the contestant whose bid is closest to the actual retail price without going over wins (NPR: The Price Is Right). Gather some fun prizes first, then ask players to submit their guessed prices for a set of items. During the game night, reveal one item at a time, collect guesses and award each prize to the closest bid that does not go over.

Domande frequenti

Quali sono alcune idee di gioco uniche?

Here are a few more for your event:

  • Unique charades: act out films, TV shows, songs or famous people your audience will recognise.
  • Dritta!: one player holds a phone to their forehead while the others give clues to the word on screen.
  • Password: one player gives one-word clues to help a partner guess a secret word or phrase.
  • Non l'ho mai fatto: players put a finger down each time they have done something others mention. The first to run out loses.
  • Tabù: describe a word without saying the ‘taboo’ words on the card.
  • bingo online: make bingo cards of fun tasks related to your audience, and players cross them off as they go.

Come posso rendere divertente il mio evento?

  1. Choose a suitable venue and check all your equipment, with a backup plan in case the technology fails.
  2. Pick a theme.
  3. Add entertainment such as a DJ, band or activities.
  4. Offer good food and drink.
  5. Incoraggiare la socializzazione.
  6. Make it interactive with trivia or sondaggi dal vivo.
