Question 1 of 3

What should the HR coordinator have done when Dawit showed his Permanent Resident Card?

A Permanent Resident Card shows both identity and work authorization, so on its own it is enough. Asking for more or different documents than the form requires can be an unfair documentary practice, and it treats Dawit differently from Siobhán.

Lesson 1, Why the rule exists, teaches this. See the outline

Question 2 of 3

A TNC ("mismatch") from E-Verify means the employee…

A tentative nonconfirmation only says the records did not match. Records can be out of date or contain typing errors, so it is a reason to follow the resolution process, not a finding about the person.

Lesson 2, What's covered, teaches this. See the outline

Question 3 of 3

An employee has worked for two days when E-Verify returns a TNC. What happens to their schedule?

A TNC is not a finding. The employee decides whether to take action, and the employer should not suspend, cut hours or delay training while it is resolved.

Lesson 4, Duties, timing and red flags, teaches this. See the outline
