Try some questions from the course

Question 1 of 3

Mo and Jess ask what would happen to their savings. What is the best first thing to do?

Start by listening. Asking what they want care to look like, and explaining plainly how care is paid for, puts the conversation before any product. Recommending a plan, reassuring them without facts or brushing the question off all skip the client's real concern.

Lesson 1, The conversation nobody wants to have, teaches this. See the outline

Question 2 of 3

Under a partnership policy, when might assets be disregarded?

Only when a qualifying policy has paid benefits and Medicaid is later needed, and only as your state allows. It is never automatic and never the same everywhere.

Lesson 3, Partnership policies and suitability, teaches this. See the outline

Question 3 of 3

A client's adult daughter asks to sit in. The client agrees. What is the best approach?

Family can support, but the applicant gives her own answers and the record must show them. Welcoming the daughter respects the client; speaking to the client directly protects her.

Lesson 5, Speak up and apply, teaches this. See the outline
