Business Development Specialist

We are AhaSlides, a SaaS (software as a service) company. AhaSlides is an audience engagement platform that allows leaders, managers, educators, and speakers to connect with their audience and let them interact in real-time. We launched AhaSlides in July 2019. It’s now being used and trusted by millions of users from over 200 countries all around the world.

We are a Singapore corporation with a subsidiary in Vietnam and a soon-to-be-set-up subsidiary in the EU. We have over 40 members, coming from Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Australia and Japan.

We are looking for a Business Development to join our team in Vietnam, as part of our effort to scale up sustainably.

What you will do

  • Strategic Partnerships:
    • Identify, cultivate, and establish partnerships with key industry players to enhance market presence and drive business opportunities.
    • Negotiate partnership agreements that align with the company’s strategic goals and benefit both parties.
  • Sales and Client Management:
    • Focus on acquiring and managing relationships with training providers and corporations, understanding their needs, and providing tailored SaaS solutions.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets with large accounts.
    • Conduct high-level sales presentations and negotiations.
  • Event Management and Networking:
    • Plan, organize, and manage participation in trade shows, conferences, and other relevant industry events.
    • Utilize events for networking, brand promotion, and to establish the company as a thought leader in the SaaS space.
    • Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and maximum impact at events.

What you should be good at

  • Excellent English communication skills (IELTS score of 7.0 or higher).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the SaaS or tech industry.
  • Strong network and relationship-building skills, particularly with industry players and large clients. Knowledge of the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the technical aspects of SaaS products.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
