We’ve made two key updates to improve how you collaborate and work with AhaSlides. Here’s what’s new:
1. Request to Access: Making Collaboration Easier
- Request Access Directly:
If you try to edit a presentation you don’t have access to, a popup will now prompt you to request access from the presentation owner. - Simplified Notifications for Owners:
- Owners are notified of access requests on their AhaSlides homepage or via email.
- They can quickly review and manage these requests through a popup, making it easier to grant collaboration access.
This update aims to reduce disruptions and streamline the process of working together on shared presentations. Feel free to test this feature by sharing an editing link and experiencing how it works.
2. Google Drive Shortcut Version 2: Improved Integration
- Easier Access to Shared Shortcuts:
When someone shares a Google Drive shortcut to an AhaSlides presentation:- The recipient can now open the shortcut with AhaSlides, even if they haven’t previously authorized the app.
- AhaSlides will appear as the suggested app for opening the file, removing any extra setup steps.
- Enhanced Google Workspace Compatibility:
- The AhaSlides app in the Google Workspace Marketplace now highlights its integration with both Google Slides and Google Drive.
- This update makes it clearer and more intuitive to use AhaSlides alongside Google tools.

Just type your question, and the system will generate up to 4 contextually accurate options as placeholders, which you can apply with a single click.
- Auto Prefill Image Search Keywords:
- Spend less time searching and more time creating. This new AI-powered feature automatically generates relevant keywords for your image searches based on your slide content. Now, when you add images to quizzes, polls, or content slides, the search bar will auto-fill with keywords, giving you faster, more tailored suggestions with minimal effort.
- AI Writing Assistance: Crafting clear, concise, and engaging content just got easier. With our AI-powered writing improvements, your content slides now come with real-time support that helps you polish your messaging effortlessly. With this update, you can now access the new Editor layout, AI Content Generation, slide categorisation, and updated pricing features directly from within PowerPoint. This means that the add-in now mirrors the look and functionality of the Presenter App, reducing any confusion between tools and allowing you to work seamlessly across platforms.
To keep the add-in as efficient and current as possible, we’ve also officially discontinued support for the old version, removing access links within the Presenter App. Please ensure you’re using the latest version to enjoy all the improvements and ensure a smooth, consistent experience with the newest AhaSlides features.

- Optimised Image Management for Faster Loading
We have enhanced the way images are managed in the app. Now, images that have already been loaded won’t be loaded again, which speeds up loading times. This update results in a faster experience, particularly in image-heavy sections like the Template Library, ensuring smoother performance during each visit.
- Enhanced Back Button in the Editor
We’ve refined the Editor’s Back button! Now, clicking Back will take you to the exact page you came from. If that page isn’t within AhaSlides, you’ll be directed to My Presentations, making navigation smoother and more intuitive.

- When you delete a presentation or folder, you’ll receive a friendly reminder that it’s heading straight to the "Trash."
- Accessing the "Trash" is a breeze; it’s visible globally, so you can retrieve your deleted presentations or folders from any page within the presenter app.
What’s Inside?
- The "Trash" is a private party—only the presentations and folders YOU deleted are in there! No snooping through anyone else’s stuff! 🚫👀

What Happens When You Hit Recover?

The revised pricing plans cater to a variety of users, including Free, Essential, and Educational tiers, ensuring that everyone has access to powerful features suited to their needs.
For Free Users
- Engage Up to 50 Live Participants: Host presentations with up to 50 participants for real-time interaction, allowing for dynamic engagement during your sessions.
- No Monthly Participant Limit: Invite as many participants as needed, as long as no more than 50 join your quiz simultaneously. This means more opportunities for collaboration without restrictions.
- Unlimited Presentations: Enjoy the freedom to create and utilize as many presentations as you like, with no monthly limits, empowering you to share your ideas freely.
- Quiz and Question Slides: Generate up to 5 quiz slides and 3 question slides to enhance audience engagement and interactivity.
- AI Features: Leverage our free AI assistance to generate captivating slides tailored to your specific needs, making your presentations even more engaging.
For Educational Users
- Increased Participant Limit: Educational users can now host up to 100 participants with Medium Plan and 50 participants with Small Plan in their presentations (previously 50 for Medium and 25 for Small), providing more opportunities for interaction and engagement. 👏
- Consistent Pricing: Your current pricing remains unchanged, and all features will continue to be available. By keeping your subscription active, you gain these additional benefits at no extra cost.
For Essential Users
- Larger Audience Size: Users can now host up to 100 participants in their presentations, up from the previous limit of 50, facilitating greater engagement opportunities.
For Legacy Plus Subscribers
For users currently on legacy plans, we assure you that the transition to the new pricing structure will be straightforward. Your existing features and access will be maintained, and we will provide assistance to ensure a seamless switch.
- Keep Your Current Plan: You will continue to enjoy the benefits of your current legacy Plus plan.
- Upgrade to Pro Plan: You have the option to upgrade to the Pro plan at a special discount of 50%. This promotion is available only to current users, as long as your legacy Plus plan is active, and is applicable only once.
- Plus Plan Availability: Please note that the Plus Plan will no longer be available for new users moving forward.

We’re grateful for your feedback, which helps us improve AhaSlides for everyone. Here are some recent fixes and enhancements we’ve made to enhance your experience
1. Audio Control Bar Issue
We addressed the issue where the audio control bar would disappear, making it difficult for users to play audio. You can now expect the control bar to appear consistently, allowing for a smoother playback experience. 🎶
2. "See All" Button in Template Library
We noticed that the “See All” button in some Category sections of the Templates Library wasn’t linking correctly. This has been resolved, making it easier for you to access all available templates.
3. Presentation Language Reset
We fixed a bug that caused the Presentation Language to change back to English after modifying presentation info. Your chosen language will now remain consistent, making it easier for you to work in your preferred language. 🌍
4. Poll Submission in Live Session
Audience members were unable to submit responses during live polls. This has now been fixed, ensuring smooth participation during your live sessions.

How it works?
- Shift + P: Quickly start presenting without fumbling through menus.
- K: Access a new cheat sheet that displays hotkey instructions in presenting mode, ensuring you have all the shortcuts at your fingertips.
- Q: Display or hide the QR Code effortlessly, streamlining interaction with your audience.
- Esc: Return to the Editor quickly, enhancing your workflow efficiency.
Applied for Poll, Open Ended, Scaled and WordCloud
- H: Easily toggle the Results view on or off, allowing you to focus on the audience or data as needed.
- S: Show or hide Submission Controls with a single click, making it simpler to manage participant submissions.
🌱 Improvements
PDF Export
We’ve fixed an issue with an unusual scrollbar appearing on open-ended slides in PDF exports. This fix ensures that your exported documents appear correctly and professionally, preserving the intended layout and content.
Editor Sharing
The bug preventing shared presentations from appearing after inviting others to edit has been resolved. This enhancement ensures that collaborative efforts are seamless and that all invited users can access and edit shared content without issues.
