Senior Product Designer
We are AhaSlides, a SaaS (software as a service) company. AhaSlides is an audience engagement platform that allows leaders, managers, educators, and speakers to connect with their audience and let them interact in real-time. We launched AhaSlides in July 2019. It’s now being used and trusted by millions of users from over 200 countries all around the world.
We are a Singapore corporation with subsidiaries in Vietnam and the Netherlands. We have over 40 members, coming from Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, and Czech.
We are seeking a talented Senior Product Designer to join our team in Hanoi. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences, a strong foundation in design principles, and expertise in user research methodologies. As a Senior Product Designer at AhaSlides, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our diverse and global user base. What you will do
User Research:
- Conduct comprehensive user research to understand behaviours, needs, and motivations.
- Use methods such as user interviews, surveys, focus groups, and usability testing to gather actionable insights.
- Create personas and user journey maps to guide design decisions.
Information Architecture:
- Develop and maintain the platform’s information architecture, ensuring content is logically organized and easily navigable.
- Define clear workflows and navigation paths to enhance user accessibility.
Wireframing and Prototyping:
- Create detailed wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.
- Iterate designs based on stakeholder input and user feedback.
Visual and Interaction Design:
- Apply a design system to ensure consistency while maintaining usability and accessibility.
- Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines while maintaining usability and accessibility.
- Design responsive, cross-platform interfaces optimized for web and mobile devices.
Usability Testing:
- Plan, conduct, and analyse usability tests to validate design decisions.
- Iterate and improve designs based on user testing and feedback.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketing, to create cohesive and user-centered design solutions.
- Actively participate in design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
Data-Driven Design:
- Leverage analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to monitor and interpret user behaviour, identifying patterns and opportunities for design improvements.
- Incorporate user data and metrics into decision-making processes.
Documentation and Standards:
- Maintain and update design documentation, including style guides, component libraries, and interaction guidelines.
- Advocate for user experience standards and best practices across the organisation.
Stay Updated:
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve the user experience.
- Attend relevant workshops, webinars, and conferences to bring fresh perspectives to the team.
What you should be good at
- Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design, preferably with a background in interactive or presentation software.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to inform data-driven design decisions.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a user-centred design approach, problem-solving skills, and successful project outcomes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to articulate design decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design practices is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is a plus.
