The challenge

Ferrero has a philosophy called Ferrerità: the love for things done the right way, respect for consumers, attention to quality, and a streak of extraordinary creativity. Gabor Toth, who leads talent development and training across 7 EU countries, needed a way to teach Ferrerità that felt like the philosophy itself. Inclusive, fun, two-way, and nothing like a slide deck read out loud.

The result

With AhaSlides, Gabor's sessions became something people take part in rather than sit through. Teams contribute more, work better together, and come away actually understanding what Ferrerità means. Other regional managers picked it up on his recommendation, and Ferrero now runs large annual events on the platform too.

"It's a very very fun way to build teams. Regional managers are super happy to have AhaSlides because it really energises people. It's fun and visually attractive."

What Gabor was up against

Gabor Toth, talent development and training coordinator for 7 EU countries, describes Ferrero as a family company with a deep respect for tradition. His problem was a thoroughly modern one: how do you teach a philosophy built on care and craft to teams scattered across seven countries, without it turning into a lecture? He needed Ferrerità to be something people experienced, not something they were told about.

  • Teach Ferrerità to teams across Europe in a fun and virtual way.
  • Build stronger teams within Ferrero through monthly training sessions of around 70 people.
  • Run other large events like annual reviews, risk management sessions, and Christmas parties.
  • Help the company operate virtually across 7 EU countries.

How the sessions run

The core rhythm is a monthly virtual session for roughly 70 people, built around team quizzes rather than presentation slides. Gabor uses a knowledge-checking quiz to close out the Ferrerità teaching, so people have to retrieve what they just learned instead of nodding along to it. That is retrieval practice, and it is one of the most reliable things learning science has to say about making training stick. The same format scales up to Ferrero's larger hybrid events, from annual reviews to Christmas parties.

What changed

Employees show up to Gabor's sessions as participants rather than an audience. The team quizzes are the standout, and the feedback scores he collects afterward sit at 9.9 out of 10.

Word spread fast. Gabor recommended AhaSlides to fellow regional managers, who now run their own training the same way, with similar results.

  • Teams genuinely learn about Ferrerità, because the quiz makes them recall it rather than just hear it.
  • Quieter team members submit ideas without putting a hand up, so the loudest voice in the room stops being the only one.
  • Colleagues across many countries bond over fast-paced virtual trivia instead of another agenda slide.

If you run sessions like Gabor's, our training and workshop and employee engagement pages are a good place to start.
