Senior UI/UX Designer - Lead UI/UX Designer

We are AhaSlides, a SaaS (software as a service) company. AhaSlides is an audience engagement platform that allows leaders, managers, educators, and speakers to connect with their audience and let them interact in real-time. We launched AhaSlides in July 2019. It’s now being used and trusted by millions of users from over 200 countries all around the world.

We are a Singapore corporation with a subsidiary in Vietnam and a soon-to-be-set-up subsidiary in the EU. We have 40 members, coming from Vietnam (mostly), Singapore, the Philippines, the UK, and Czech.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior UI / UX Designer to join our team in Hanoi, as part of our effort to scale up sustainably.

This is a unique opportunity for you to make a significant impact on a global product that has been in development for six years. This is your chance to innovate the intersection of digital design and live events, enhancing user interaction and audience engagement in classrooms, training sessions, and live events worldwide.

What you will do

• Shape the product strategy and roadmap to make AhaSlides the most popular interactive presentation software in the world before 2028.
• Do user research, interviews, and direct interactions with our diverse user community to gain a deep understanding of their problems, contexts, and purposes.
• Carry usability testing on live features as well as working prototypes to identify issues and improve our product's overall usability.
• Create wireframes, low-fi, and hi-fi UI/UX designs for our wide range of innovative features in order to achieve our ambitious growth targets.
• Improve our product's accessibility.
• Mentor and guide a team of designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and growth. Improve our team's knowledge of the best UI / UX practices. Practice user sympathy and empathy every day. Inspire them to strive for a better user experience.

What you should be good at

• You have a minimum of 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, with a proven track record of leading design teams on complex, long-term projects.
• You should have awesome graphic design and creative skills with an established portfolio.
• You demonstrated the ability to identify and solve complex UI/UX problems through innovative design solutions.
• You have done a lot of user research and usability testing in your career.
• You can build prototypes rapidly.
• You are fluent in English.
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• You have many years of experience working with BA, engineers, data analysts, and product marketers in a cross-functional, agile team.
• Having an understanding of HTML/CSS and web elements is an advantage.
• Being able to sketch well or do motion graphics is an advantage.
